This time, she gets the line
“Frankly My Dear I Don’t Give a Damn” takes a famously familiar movie line and changes the point of view. In this design, the words belong to a confident female figure looking upwards as she speaks. That simple switch gives the image its humour and personality. She is the centre of the scene, and she gets the last word.
Bold words and striking black and white artwork
The strong lettering catches your eye first. A minimal illustrated portrait completes the composition, adding expression without taking attention away from the message. The result is easy to read at a glance and interesting to examine up close. Its black and white style works on both the black and white T-shirts shown in the photos.
A vintage reference with a fresh point of view
The design has a connection to classic cinema, but it also works as a playful statement in its own right. You can enjoy the expression, the typography and the confident mood even if you have never seen the film behind the line. For those who love memorable movie quotes, the change in speaker adds an extra layer to the joke.
Wear your sense of humour
Pair this T-shirt with jeans for a relaxed everyday look, or style it with retro pieces to bring out its vintage feel. It also makes a gift for someone who enjoys classic films, graphic lettering and clothes with a little attitude. The clean artwork leaves plenty of room for the words to speak for themselves.
“Frankly My Dear!” gives a familiar phrase a new leading character — one who is perfectly happy to have the final say.
